The QuikTop is easy to use, and makes a firm “click” when properly attached to a can. To attach a QuikTop, first separate the screw-cap piece from the smaller ring-shaped piece with drinking spout. Center the ring portion on the top of an opened can, and press firmly in the center until you hear the “click.” Once the ring component is in place, creating an airtight seal around the top of the can, then simply screw the cap on the spout as you would a plastic bottle to keep your drink fresh and fizzy.

The QuikTop is just as easy to remove from the can. Remove the cap; then gently squeeze the two tabs on opposing sides of the ring toward the center, and lift off the QuikTop ring.

The QuikTop fits both older and newer-style  aluminum can tops, but because of slight differences in can tops, the manufacturer recommends that you don’t attach any one QuikTop can-top to both types of can or leaking may result. This is because the pliable QuikTop ring can slightly change its shape for the first can type, and no longer be able to completely seal to the second type. If you have two types of cans in your house, then simply mark QuikTop products for each type.
